Facebook has launched an online dating service in the U.S.
The world's largest social media platform said on Thursday that the new service will give people "a more authentic look at who someone is," by allowing users to integrate with interests and Facebook activity.
Users, who must be 18 or older, can enjoy the service by creating a separate dating profile.
Facebook then will recommend matches not on the users' friend list, and users can set their preferred age, religion and height of their potential romantic partners.
Facebook Dating is now available in 20 countries including Brazil and the Philippines and is set to roll out in Europe early next year.
