Man nabbed in Pasay cellphone snatching

MANILA – A man implicated in a snatching incident was arrested in Pasay City on Wednesday. The suspect, identified as Leonardo Niebres, was seen in a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage talking to suspected snatcher, Benjie Tengco. Tengco allegedly talked to Niebres before and after snatching the cellphone of jeepney passenger Eva Morada. In the same CCTV footage, Tengco was seen walking away after seeing the victim walking towards him. Morada sought the help of barangay officials, resulting in the arrest of Niebres. Niebres admitted that he knows Tengco, but he denied any participation in the crime. Tengco, on the other hand, remains at large.
