Napoles back in Fort Sto. Domingo, condition not alarming

Alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles is back in her detention cell in Fort Sto. Domingo in Laguna after completing her medical exam at the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital in Camp Crame. PNP Health Service director Alejandro Advincula said Napoles underwent electrocardiogram, transvaginal ultrasound, blood extraction and pap smear, the results of which will be released this afternoon. But Advincula declined to reveal more details, citing the patient-doctor confidentiality agreement. What he did say is that there is no need for Napoles to be confined in a hospital because her condition is not life-threatening. A PNP OB-gynecologist also said there was no sign of the bleeding that Napoles earlier complained about or the ovarian cyst that was found in a 2013 diagnosis. Napoles is detained for a serious illegal detention charge filed by whistleblower Benhur Luy. She is also facing plunder charges before the Ombudsman for the pork barrel scam.
