PNoy wants Napoles' health checked

MANILA - President Aquino on Wednesday said he wants the medical condition of alleged pork scam architect Janet Lim Napoles confirmed following reports that she is suffering abdominal pains. Aquino said it is the obligation of the state to ensure the health of prisoners. This is following a report that Napoles has asked the Makati Regional Trial Court that she be granted immediate medical examination at St. Luke’s Medical Center because of abdominal pains. The President said all steps taken with regards to Napoles are meant to extract evidence against the accused in the pork barrel scam. "Lahat ng ating kilos at hakbangin hinahabol natin yung ebidensya na magagamit sa paglilitis ng mga kaukulang nagkasala," he said. Makati RTC Branch 150 clerk of court Diosfa Valencia earlier said Napoles filed the motion “after an initial finding that she has been suffering a pattern of abdominal pains…” Valencia said Napoles also told the court she has been suffering from “continuous menstrual bleeding.” ANC, February 19, 2014
