Thousands flee as Agusan River swells

At least 6,000 residents in Butuan City fled their homes after the water level of Agusan River started to rise on Sunday evening. Officials said the river's water level reached 3.8 meters on Sunday evening due to intermittent rains. The river's normal water level is 1 meter. - Umagang Kay Ganda, 20 January 2014
