Pasay reclamation project will be bidded out - PRA

The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) said that it will probably bid out the right to reclaim the 300 hectares behind Mall of Asia and Entertainment City that Pasay and SM have teamed up for. This means the team-up may have to bid against government-owned and operated corporations (GOCC) for the project. In an interview on ANC’s “Inside Business,” PRA chief executive Peter Abaya said under current law, all reclamation projects need to be bid out to local government units and GOCCs, and it is the auctioneer.
