'Maxie' musical offers Nov. 15 proceeds to 'Yolanda' victims

"Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros," a coming-of-age story about a gay teen torn between his love for a young cop and his loyalty to family, has been adapted into a stage musical. "Maxie the Musical," starring Jayvhot Galang and Jojo Riguerra, will run until December 8 at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City. Proceeds from the musical's November 15 show will go to victims of super typhoon "Yolanda" (international name Haiyan). Here's an excerpt from "Maxie the Musical." Mornings@ANC, November 14, 2013
