VP Binay: Barangay polls important

MANILA -- Vice President Jejomar Binay arrived in his designated precinct in Makati City on Monday morning to cast his vote. Binay's precinct is located in San Antonio National High School. His daughter, Senator Nancy Binay, and son, Makati Mayor Junjun, voted ahead of him. Speaking to reporters, Binay reminded the voters about the importance of the barangay elections. "Itong barangay ito ang first line of defense ito. Grass roots ito eh," he said. Binay also reminded the public that it is not prohibited to bring a cheat lists of candidates into the precinct. - Mornings@ANC, 28 October 2013
