100 families lose homes in Malabon fire

MANILA– At least 100 families lost their homes after a fire hit a residential area in Tinajeros, Malabon on Monday morning. A fire broke out in Aracete Village at around 9:20 a.m. and razed some 50 houses made mostly of light materials. The fire reached the fifth alarm and was declared under control at 11:39 a.m. No deaths or serious injuries were reported in the blaze. Residents claimed that an unattended stove triggered the fire.
