George, Pacers expect to sign contract extension

Rising star Paul George expects to sign a contract extension with the Indiana Pacers before the new season starts next month. George, the reigning most improved player, says he and the Pacers are on the same page with regards to the extension. Pacers president Larry Bird said he wants the deal done before the season to remove a potential distraction for George. Two stars from the 2010 draft class have already signed extensions, the Wizards' John Wall and Larry sanders of the Bucks.
