Cavite now under state of calamity

MANILA - Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla declared a state of calamity as the province grapples with heavy rains and rising floods. At least two people were killed in the flood while a third person was declared missing. Remulla told ANC all major roads going in and out of Cavite are closed with the towns of Imus, General Trias, Poblacion, Noveleta, Tanza and Naic not passable. The governor said at least 24 families have been evacuated in Noveleta as the Ylang-Ylang River rose to 8 meters. ANC Dateline Philippines, August 19, 2013
