Pasay City under state of calamity

MANILA - The city of Pasay has declared a state of calamity as most parts of the city are still flooded. In an interview on ANC, Pasay Mayor Antonio Calixto said some residents are still stranded on the rooftops of their homes. He said at least 50 percent of the streets in Pasay are still flooded. "Marami po kasi saming nasalanta dito hanggang ngayon po ay mataas ang tubig dito samin. Yung iba hindi pa nakakababa sa hagdanan dahil malaki pa ang tubig," he said. Other cities in Metro Manila also under the state of calamity are Marikina and Parañaque. Laguna, Cavite, Bataan, Pampanga and Rizal have also declared a state of calamity.
