DSWD: Over 41,000 families affected by 'Labuyo'

MANILA -- Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Dinky Soliman on Wednesday said over 41,000 families were affected by typhoon "Labuyo." Soliman added more than 3,000 homes were partially and totally destroyed by the typhoon. Latest figures from the DSWD showed only 62 of the 118 evacuation centers remain open as most evacuees have already returned to their homes. The DSWD and local government units have so far spent P2.6 million for the affected families. ANC Dateline Philippines, August 14, 2013
