"It has been 4 years and nothing has changed in my view. We are yet to get justice” says the distraught parents of 16 December, 2012 gangrape victim.
On the fateful day, 16 December 2012, Jyoti Singh, a physiotherapy intern was gangraped in a moving bus. 11 days after the assault ‘Nirbhaya’ succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Singapore. Even four year later, her parents still await justice.

‘I remember her in my sleep and when I wake up. Even when we sit with our friends we talk about her. What was her fault? What wrong did we do to deserve this?’ Badrinath, father of the victim said in a choked voice.
Six people were convicted in the case, one of the convicts, Ram Singh died in police custody. After three years since the incident, a juvenile defendent was released which is the maximum sentence for juveniles under Indian Penal Code. However, four other have been sentenced to death.
