Budget 2017: More Money in Hands of Consumer is Sought

As the country braces itself for Budget 2017, Hindustan Unilever Limited’s Sanjeev Mishra spoke to The Quint and said his expectations pivot primarily on the power given to the consumer this financial year.
Mishra added that as a consumer goods company, he seeks more money in the hands of the consumer that can be brought about by reduced direct tax rate. This would result in an incentive for investment and therefore more employment opportunities.
