MANILA, Philippines – Top-seed Novak Djokovic ended a highly satisfactory first week at Wimbledon by brushing aside Frenchman Jeremy Chardy to continue his serene progress in the grasscourt tournament. Chardy, the 28th seed, put up little fight on Centre Court with the third-round match wrapped up in 87 minutes. Djokovic, who eased past the same players in the first round two years ago in his way to a first Wimbledon title, has yet to drop a set in three one-sided contests so far. His next opponent, Tommy Haas, should put up more resistance in the last 16. -- ANC, June 30, 2013
