Sunday saw another day and night of violent clashes in Hong Kong between the police and anti-government protesters who are angry with the government’s handling of the extradition bill crisis. A potential clash in North Point between protesters and Beijing loyalists never materialised. Instead, an approved rally in Victoria Park was followed by street occupations and blockages across the centre of Hong Kong Island.
