Apple farmers in Himachal Pradesh are making good profit from both new and traditional varieties of apples in the backdrop of increased demand in the market this year. Traditional varieties are beating the demand of international varieties of apple. The apple farmers in rural Shimla, Kinnaur and Kullu districts are expecting good prices this season. Numerous apple farmers are dependent on the sale of fruit for their yearly revenue. Since the demand of imported apples has lessened, traditional varieties are expected to gain revenue.


हिमाचल प्रदेश में सेब किसान इस वर्ष बाजार में बढ़ी हुई माँग की पृष्ठभूमि में सेब की नई और पारंपरिक दोनों किस्मों के लिए अच्छा लाभ कमा रहे हैं।यहां किसानों को सेब के 25 किलोग्राम के डिब्बे के लिए 2500 से 4000 रुपये मिल रहे हैं। इन किस्मों में स्पर, स्कारलेट 2, रेड चीफ और रॉयल डिलीशियस शामिल हैं जो सेब की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय किस्मों को हरा रहे हैं।ढली में स्थानीय बाजार में औसतन लगभग 65000 बक्से यहां पहुंच रहे हैं।"इस साल सेब की बिक्री वास्तव में अच्छी है। व्यापिारियों का कहना है हम बहुत खुश हैं क्योंकि सेब के अच्छे दाम मिल रहे है
