Car crash in India sparks public anger regarding high-profile rape case

Protests have erupted in the Indian capital New Delhi, after a car crash critically injured a teenager whose has levelled rape accusations against Kuldeep Singh Sengar, a lawmaker with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. Protesters said they suspect foul play in connection to the accident in Uttar Pradesh. The crash on July 28, 2019, also killed two of the accuser’s aunts and sent her lawyer to hospital.
