On the Korean stock market, the number of companies worth more than 800 million U.S. dollars or "1 trillion won" has fallen this month by the biggest margin since last October.
According to the Korea Exchange, the KOSPI has seven fewer trillion-won firms than the month before, and the KOSDAQ now has five fewer.
There are now just 1-hundred-and-86 of them in total.
Their numbers have been steadily declining since February.
Industry sources say this is due mainly to the prolonged trade tensions between the U.S. and China and the ongoing trade row between South Korea and Japan.
