Korean Air to cut Busan-Sapporo flights in Sept. on falling demand amid trade spat

Korean Air, the country's biggest air carrier, will suspend flights between Busan and Sapporo from September,... amid the ongoing trade dispute between Seoul and Tokyo, and the resulting fall in demand.
A company spokesperson said the suspension will take effect on September 3rd.
There's no set date on when or whether the route will be restarted.
Korean Air is also considering cutting its number of its flights to Japan or switching to smaller aircraft from mid-August.
South Korea's low-cost carriers have already suspended or reduced the number of their flights between South Korean cities and less popular destinations in Japan, such as Narita and Oita.
