Making your own stool or side table doesn't take much — all you need is a bucket, three dowel rods, and some concrete. Does that sound a bit too easy? Well, it's not! Check out this video to see just how simple it is.
You'll Need:
- 11 lbs concrete
- 3 cups water
- mixing bucket
- 3 dowel rods
- tape
Here's How:
1. Choose a bucket that has the same diameter as the stool or table you want to make. Mix the concrete in it, making sure that it is about four inches deep.
2. Bang the side of the bucket to get any air bubbles out of the mixed concrete.
3. Stick the three dowel rods in the bucket and secure them with tape. Let the concrete harden for at least 24 hours.
4. Remove the tape and slowly take the stool out of the bucket. As you can see in the video, it should slide out without sticking.
5. Smooth off the surface of the concrete with some very fine sand paper and you're done! You now have a new seat or table for your home.
