Dr. Chris Kraft, NASA's first flight director, passed away on July 22nd, 2019. Christopher Columbus Kraft was NASA's first flight director. Yes, that was his REAL first and middle name. He is credited with inventing the mission control that helped direct men to the moon. AccuWeather was in the Christopher C. Kraft Mission Control Center this past weekend and talked to NASA's Chief Flight Director Holly Ridings, who shared her respect for Kraft.
