Hanoi factory that once supplied Vietnam’s military to make Olympic uniforms for US team at 2020 Tokyo Games

The Maxport factory, built by the Vietnam government in 1955, once produced boots and drab olive uniforms for the country’s soldiers fighting US forces. More than 60 years later, the Hanoi-based operation is still in business, making sportswear for global clients. Now it is booked to churn out official uniforms for the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics, serving teams from Canada, South Africa – and former foe, the United States.
