California Governor Asks Trump To Greenlight State Of Emergency, Aid

Following 6.4 and 7.1 magnitude earthquakes in Ridgecrest, California Gov. Gavin Newsom has requested federal emergency aid.
According to Business Insider, Newsom wrote to President Donald Trump, formally requesting that he declare a state of emergency.
The quakes and their aftershocks caused power outages, gas leaks, fires, rockslides, and property damage.
In his letter, Newsom requested mass care and emergency power supplies, generators, evacuation support, and engineering support.
