Hongkongers sympathise with protesters who vandalised legislature

Hong Kong’s Legislative Council is closed for two weeks as a massive clean up effort is underway after scores of protesters stormed the building on July 1 and vandalised property. The government has condemned the protesters involved but some Hongkongers said that although they did not support their actions, they believed the protesters were pushed to the brink by the government's lack of response to their demands.
