It has been 50 years since Apollo 11, the first lunar landing. NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong was the first to walk on the moon on July 20, 1969. Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins joined him on that mission. Newsweek interviewed Collins and other Apollo astronauts Charlie Duke, Michael Collins, Al Worden and Russell Schweickart about how the mission to the moon united a divided America in the 1960s.
