Assault on Hong Kong’s Legislative Council, and the police clearance that followed

Hong Kong’s Legislative Council complex was broken into by anti-extradition law protesters on July 1, 2019. For about eight hours, the mostly young protesters occupied and vandalised the government building, until police took control in the early hours of July 2.
