S. Korea’s terms of trade worsens for 18th consecutive month

South Korea's terms of trade deteriorated for the 18th consecutive month in May as import prices surpassed export prices.
The central bank says the terms of trade index for products, which measures the amount of imports a country can purchase for each unit of exports, came to 90-point-76, down near six percent on-year.
The BOK attributed the drop to falling prices of electronics equipment and chemical products.
Import prices also dropped slightly due to lower industrial goods imports... but fell by a lower margin than Korea's export prices.
