In central Nigeria, where Muslim herders and Christian farmers co-exist, centuries-old conflicts over access to land and water are killing more people than the terrorist group Boko Haram in northern Nigeria. In recent years, tensions have been aggravated by a population boom and climate change, leading to violence spiraling out of control.
