Feud Is Officially Over Swift and Perry announced an official
end to their years-long feud on June 11. Perry posted a photo of a plate of cookies
to Instagram with “peace at last” written
across the top of the plate in icing. She also tagged Swift in the photo
and captioned it “feels good @taylorswift.” Swift later commented on the photo with multiple
hearts and fans have pointed out that the picture
appears to show Swift’s kitchen counter. The pair’s feud reportedly began in 2012, when
Perry began dating Swift’s ex-boyfriend, John Mayer. They clashed again in 2014, when Swift accused Perry
of stealing backup dancers from her world tour lineup. Taylor Swift, via
‘Rolling Stone’ Swift’s 2014 song “Bad Blood” and Perry’s
2017 song “Swish, Swish” are believed to be
directed at one another. It wasn’t until June 2017 that Perry apologized
to Swift, saying she was “ready to let it go.” Katy Perry, via YouTube She then sent a physical olive branch and apology
note to Swift in 2018, saying she was “deeply sorry.”
