Veterans depart Portsmouth for Normandy on MV Boudicca

Around 250 WWII veterans have departed Portsmouth for Normandy on board MV Boudicca, which has been chartered by the Royal British Legion to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day. A flotilla of Royal Navy vessels followed the cruise ship with Prime Minister Theresa May and Defence Secretary Penny Mordaunt waving off crowds from the deck of HMS Queen Elizabeth.
