A tense and moving female-led Australian drama.

This feature debut is an engrossing psychological drama that tackles uncomfortable subjects with ease and points to writer-director Miranda Nation as a real talent to watch. At the heart of the film is the fractured relationship between two women, caring Claire (Laura Gordon), who veers between obsessive and needy behaviour as she struggles to deal with the trauma of a stillbirth, and wild- child Angie (Olivia DeJonge), who is caught up in a difficult relationship. With cleverly changing directions and tones, the largely female production team offers an alternative view of Australia.
