Honda e Side Camera Mirror System

Greater field of vision, less drag: the new Honda e has a standard-fit camera system instead of classic exterior mirrors, and the technology used for the first time in the small car class offers decisive advantages in terms of design, safety and aerodynamics.

The camera system already introduced in the Honda e prototype replaces the conventional side mirrors with small-format cameras that transmit their images in real time to two six-inch monitors inside the vehicle. These are positioned on the sides of the dashboard and allow the driver an ergonomic and natural viewing angle.

The pioneering camera technology gives the Honda e a modern, clear and independent aesthetic. Also contributing to this are the stepless A-pillars and the flush-mounted, retractable door handles, which are also part of the standard equipment.
