N. Korean participation at Gwangju world swimming championships in doubt

North Korea is yet to confirm whether it will participate in a global swimming competition to be held in South Korea this summer.
The executive director of the international swimming federation, told reporters Thursday that North Korea had recently informed FINA that it wouldn't compete at the World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju.
But, he then said in a separate meeting that the North has not officially pulled out.
FINA is keen for North Korea to take part and is willing to extend the June 12th registration deadline.
