Minecraft to Release New
Augmented Reality Game
'Minecraft Earth' 'Minecraft Earth' was announced by Microsoft in
honor of Minecraft’s recent ten year anniversary. The beta version will be available for iOS
and Android mobile devices this coming summer, with participation sign ups already
open to those who are 18 and older. The game will be free-to-play and is
expected to roll out gradually across the world. ‘Minecraft Earth’ will follow the same
path as ‘Pokémon Go,’ but include more
interactive multiplayer elements. Players will be able to visit permanent
‘adventure' spots that allow multiple
devices to interact with them at once. They will also be able to
interact with in-game creations
made by other players. 'Minecraft Earth' will feature elements of the
classic game, such as collecting resources, fighting
monster mobs and gaining experience points.
