LEGO The Incredibles Review

To start I want to point out that I am a major Lego game fan. I have played and finished everyone that has been put out since the Star Wars to now and have loved them all this being said, I know it not a game for everyone.
So, this time around Travellers Tales have teamed up with Pixar and Disney (the huge near Demigod of media) to produce a new Lego game combining the original movie and the new sequel just released.
The game looks very much like the previous game like Undercover and Harry Potter. What I mean by that is that the world is a highly detailed set piece but the models and thing you interact with are in pascals and easily definable from the rest of the world. Very much unlike the work that was done in Marvels version of the game. It is pleasing and is very much in the same vain as the movie, but some more shading and texture work would be nice. Animation and the humour that a lot of the different scenes provide really show how far that Travellers has come to show a player that this is funny and gives a great visual appeal
Sound
Let’s have a listen to some sound and music.

It is a great thing to see a movie and then come to a game and feel like you are in control of the characters from the movies. In this iteration that has been done well; with Dashes speed sound and the heft of Mr Incredible grunting and lifting massive objects really hitting home that that is the person you are currently playing. The music and voice is taken straight from the movies with a few fill in pieces to give the character dialog. But the interesting thing is they have included thing like Lucius talk about old super villains and this time it not like you came into the last half the conversation, unlike the movie you get the whole sepal and that is golden, I live that they included it.
Lego is never about the surprising new gameplay or different control setup. It has been the same from the first to this one where you have a jump, punch and special with direction controls for the most part. These games are all about pickup and play, so it nailed that with the usual button mashing. The game place at the start of the new movie and then later on you play the original movie with both being short but true. Really the sad thing here is the ease of finishing this game; some Lego games I have poured many hours into but this one I did in less than 7 for the main story and another 8 for the collect-a-thon. Which make me sad because I love sinking time in a game that make me thing and struggle, but sadly this did not. Had fun but I was left wanting more.
I am a Lego fan boy, no denying it, but at $40 USD and more for console it is a bit much considering you are not getting half the amount of play time considering previous titles. If you like Lego and have been following the series you will feel this is very much like Ninjago, great IP but poor use. I would like to say this is a buy it now but no I would wait for a cheaper price.
