Bird's-eye view! CCTV captures rare stork's nest as fire sweeps through Amur region

A CCTV camera located in the nest of a rare stork captured the spread of fire in Russia's Amur region. The camera was reportedly placed by biologists observing the life and population of the bird listed in the 'Red Book' of Russia. This time the storks were lucky as their nest is located at a safe height on the metal struts of an electricity pylon. More than 61,000 hectares of forests are estimated to be burning across Russia, including seven forest fires in the Amur region.
