Story -
Gautham (Prem Kumar) is considered as useless by his aristocratic father Parashuramaiah (Ananthnag) because every time the problem arouses the needle of suspicion is on Gautham. Fed up of the tag he has received from his father Gautham falls behind the cute Janaki (Sara) who is the daughter of a chef. The barricade here for Gautham is the status. Enters Geetha (Kausalya) the ex girl friend of Gautham elder brother Raghuram (Kokila Mohan) and that leads to some more suspicion. Gautham wants to know from his brother Raghuram that he is not cheating his sister in law (Sudharani) but he is in a shock to know that Geetha is suffering from deadly disease and her life is very short. In the absence of Raghuram when Geetha calls up it is Gautham who attend the call. From this again Gautham takes the black spot on him as his father sees him carrying Geetha in the busy road. That was in fact to shift her to the medical aid. The confusions mount up in the minds of characters but not the viewers of the film.
On the day of Gautham's physically handicap sister marriage the absence of Raghuram further leads to confusion when the railway accident news shocks Gautham. According to his information Raghuram is dead in the railway accident that is even confirmed by the railway authorities. The shock and dismay in the family creates emotional moments for Gautham. To the surprise of everyone Raghuram arrives on the spot and says he traveled by air. Now Gautham is tremendously happy but his father Parusharamaiah had told him to get out of the house after the marriage. Gautham does so but he is followed by the entire family when mistaken identity in Parusharamaaih is cleared out.
