Dollar Tree Fan - Garbage? Fire Hazard?

Purchased a $1 fan from dollar tree planning only to use it once. It didn't even last long enough for one full use. Seems they use plastic bushings in their cheap motors. Once the bushings melt the motor locks up and shorts the batteries.
