Today, May 1st... is International Labor Day, an occasion to celebrate workers and promote their rights.
President Moon Jae-in said in a Facebook post... that he wants to make Korea a country where people can take pride in labor.
He wants to see people fulfill their dreams and develop the world through labor, and to see skilled workers and technicians treated with respect.
The president also emphasized that labor should endeavor to gain this respect by developing a win-win relationship with management... rather than struggle and resistance, as it has in the past.
