#MeToo Founder Says Movement
Should Be Inclusive of All Identities While speaking at the Time 100 Summit
on April 24, Tarana Burke explained
the meaning of the #MeToo movement. The #MeToo movement was founded
by Burke in 2016 and empowered thousands
of women to stand up against sexual harassment. Burke went on to detail the
importance of male participation,
saying, “#MeToo is not a women’s movement.’ She believes it is essential that everyone
is held accountable for their actions, including
