The rise in incidents of cars catching fire in New Delhi is due to the ill-conceived plan to turn vehicles to CNG use without using either the latest technology or well-monitored systems of installations. Most installations are carried out by fly-by-night roadside operators who charges lower amounts and buy parts from the black market.
