India's poor sleep hungry while food-grain goes to the rats!

Rotten wheat bags in open godowns of FCI in Punjab. Meanwhile, the Congress government pushes ahead with a Rs. 1.40 lakh crore food security bill. Is this what will happen to 1.40 lakh crores of food-grains that India can ill afford to pay for or lose?

The poor are dying of hunger and our grains are rotting in government godowns. Foodgrain worth Rs. 58,000 crores (US$11 billion) is rotting in FCI godowns every year due to lack of proper storage facilities. Poor selfless farmers slog their sweat and blood in hot sun and heavy rains to grow these food grains... Some are driven to commit suicide by money lenders, yet there is no awareness about such a serious issue in the nation... truly pathetic!
