Dal Gosht Recipe is a combination of chana dal and gosht that is mutton with dal which is a very wonderful combination. This combination is usually found in Hyderabad.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Ghee
3 Onions (chopped)
For Dal
8 tbsp Split Chickpeas (soaked)
4 tbsp Split Pigeon Peas (soaked)
2 tbsp Red Lentils (soaked)
1 tsp Garlic Paste
1/2 tsp Asafoetida
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
750 ml Water
Salt
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
3 Green Chillies (chopped)
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds Powder
1 kg Mutton
1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
2 Tomatoes (chopped)
1/2 kg Bottle Gourd
1 cup Water
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt
1 tsp Garam masala
1 tbsp Ghee
Cinnamon Stick
1 Star Anise
4 Cloves
8 Black Pepper Corn
For Garnishing
1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Oil
Lemon Juice
Coriander Leaves
Method: Start with heating up the Oil & Ghee, then add Onions (chopped) stir it till the Onions become golden colour, in another pressure cooker for making the dal add Split Chickpeas (soaked), Split Pigeon Peas (soaked), Red Lentils (soaked), Garlic Paste, Asafoetida, Turmeric Powder, Water and Salt to the Pressure Cooker for 3 to 4 whistles. Then add Garlic Paste, Ginger Paste, Green Chillies (chopped) to the golden Onions and saute for a minute in Medium flame then add Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Cumin Seeds Powder, Coriander Seeds Powder and Mutton, saute it properly and let it cook for 5 minutes with a high flame. Then add Black Pepper Powder, and Tomatoes (chopped) mix them all properly add water and Salt. Now let it pressure cook it for 3 to 4 whistles. In the meantime, chop the Bottle Gourd (as shown in the video) and cook it with water, Turmeric Powder and Salt, now close the lid and let it cook. Now, after the 4 whistles open up the cooker and cook it till the water is vaporised from mutton after few moments add Bottle Gourd with mutton and mix them all together. Now add the Dal with Mutton & Bottle Gourd, also add Garam Masala and let it cook for 5 minutes. Now add Ghee, Cinnamon Stick, Star Anise, Cloves, Black Pepper Corn and heat it, then add to the Dal Gosht. After which take it out in the serving bowl than for garnishing take Oil & Red Chilli Powder to heat up and add to Dal Gosht also pour some Lemon Juice and Coriander Leaves, and your Dal Gosht is ready to be served.
