'Suicide Squad' Sequel According to 'Variety,'
sources have confirmed Cena is
interested in appearing in the film. If he lands a role, it will be
his first time appearing in
a comic book movie. Others expected to appear in the film include
Margot Robbie, reprising her role as Harley Quinn, and Idris Elba, who will not be playing
Deadshot as previously thought, but
rather a different, unspecified character. The sequel, directed by James Gunn,
is expected to go into production this fall. Cena's other upcoming projects
include 'The Janson Directive'
and 'Playing With Fire.'
