First Reiwa Ultraman Series Announced
Tsuburaya Productions has unveiled the next entry to the Ultraman franchise, and the very first Ultra hero of the Reiwa Era, Ultraman Taiga!
In the series, aliens are emigrating to Earth secretly, and only a few people knew about this truth. Hiroyuki Kudo (played by Nisekoi's Yuki Inoue) works at a private security organization E.G.I.S. (Enterprise of Guard and Investigation Services), whose job is to take care of alien-related cases, and he works day and night to protect peace. However, there lies a huge secret in him, which he himself is unaware of. He carries Ultraman Taiga's "particle of light." Our adventure begins as Taiga's powers revive from Hiroyuki's body!
More on our hero, he has a kind heart and a strong sense of justice. He was attacked by aliens when he was a kid, but was saved by Ultraman Taiga's light who unexpectedly arrived on Earth. Since then, Ultraman Taiga dwells inside him and he is unaware of it until now. Later on, he encounters two other Ultramen and becomes friends with them. Because of his kind heart, he embraces everything and that includes the unknown. Unlike past Ultraman series, the main Ultraman host, he can transform into three different heroes. These heroes are:
Ultraman Taiga is from Nebula M78 and is the son of Ultraman Taro and wishes that his father to understand and recognize him, but he can't admit to his true feelings. He has a strong sense of justice and is very enthusiastic. Along with Titas and Fuma, he founded the "Tri Squad". Although still young and not skilled, but he dedicates to fight for peace on Earth. Together with Hiroyuki, he grows to become a true Ultraman.
Ultraman Titas is from Planet U40, the homeworld of Ultraman Joneus from The☆Ultraman anime series. This warrior and sage, with his carefully trained body and healthy spirit is skilled in heavyweight battles.
Ultraman Fuma is from Planet O-50, the planet where Ultraman Orb, Ultraman Rosso, and Ultraman Blu got their powers to become warriors of light. He has quick reflexes and various techniques that make him strong in battles that require speed. He has a rough personality, but also a strong sense of duty.
To transform into any of the Ultraman, Hiroyuki uses the Taiga Spark, a device that can connect the bonds between humans and Ultraman. By leading the Ultra Taiga Accessory with the Taiga Spark, one can borrow the powers of heroes and monsters sealed inside.
More on the Ultra Taiga Accessory, these are items with sealed powers of Ultra Heroes and monsters. There are different types of it that exist, such as key chains, bracelets, and rings. In Hiroyuki's case, he uses a key chain type item to transform into Ultraman Taiga, Titas, and Fuma.
