Oren and Kamin suddenly convert their bodies into energy and possess Kale and Caulifla, using their bodies to attack the others. Vegeta, Trunks and Hit develop a plan; Trunks and Hit fight and immobilize Oren and Kamin, while Vegeta charges up a Final Flash. When he fires it at them, Oren and Kamin are forced to abandon Kale and Caulifla's bodies. However, before the battle can continue, Hearts appears with a strange crystal and immobilizes all of them with his psychic powers. He reveals that the crystal, which he calls a Universe Seed, will give him the powers to destroy the Omni-King, the Supreme Kais, and the Gods of Destruction. Hearts creates a strange crystal cube, which he uses to destroy a nearby planet. He's preparing to do the same to the group, but Oren and Kamin insist on fighting them again. Zamasu also reveals himself, which shocks Trunks and Vegeta. Hearts reads Hit's mind, determining that he believes Jiren to be the strongest fighter in all the universes. Meanwhile, in Universe 11, Jiren and Toppo are facing off against Cunber. Elsewhere, it is revealed that Goku is alive and being trained by the Grand Minister.

The series is set after the events of Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
Plot:
Following the events of Broly, Goku and Vegeta were supposed to be joined in their training on Beerus's planet by Trunks from an alternate timeline after he and Mai have returned to the present timeline in their time machine. Mai reveals that Trunks was captured by an unknown force, and a mysterious figure named Fu confirms that Trunks is held on the Prison Planet, a place under the control of Frieza's brother Cooler. Goku and Vegeta reach the planet with Mai, encountering their Time Patrol counterparts Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta who were sent to retrieve Fu before they are all attacked a Saiyan criminal named Cunber. The resulting fight against Cunber destabilizes the planet, with Fu escaping capture as Cooler followed, the heroes managing to escape the self-destructing planet with Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta returning to their reality. But the event would be revealed to have been part of plan conducted by Hearts, who recruited Cunber and four other inmates (including a cyborg version of Zamasu) for his goal to eliminate Zeno and his alternate counterpart.
