Korean gov't unveils new measures to boost chip industry

Korea's Trade Ministry has unveiled new measures to boost exports from local semiconductor firms.
During a meeting Monday with representatives from related organizations and companies, Trade Minister Yoo Myung-hee said the government will help local semiconductor designing and production companies find potential clients abroad.
Although the specifics haven't been given yet, the ministry did say it would hold three trade fairs this year in China, Thailand and Korea.
The government also plans to support research and development in the field of system-on-chips, used in AI and IoT products,... to boost competitiveness in the overall industry.
