FTC Closes Major Robocalling Operations

FTC Closes Major Robocalling Operations In its complaint, the FTC says the fake calls centered around multiple schemes. Each year, a billion phony calls were made by one of the outfits, NetDotSolutions. Another one, Higher Goals Marketing,
claimed it could offer
people debt relief. It would then rarely deliver
on its promises. The FTC adds that Veterans of America used a fake charity to get people to donate valuable items. The FTC adds that Pointbreak Media made calls falsely saying it was partners with Google. In promising help with
search results, it would go
on to deceive small businesses. In addition to being shut down, millions of dollars worth of fines have been issued to the operations.
